Wage: $28.00 - $35.00/Hour

Wage based on individual skills, certifications, education, and experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Technician / Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our customers’ medium and heavy-duty trucks at their location or in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on work orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.

  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform necessary repairs.

  • Communicate effectively with the Parts Department to obtain required components.

  • Maintain professional, courteous interactions with customers at all times.

  • Save and label parts if the repair is under warranty or at the customer’s request.

  • Inspect vehicles to identify additional safety or service work needed or recommended.

  • Provide timely updates to the service advisor or dispatcher regarding repair progress or delays.

  • Document all work performed and any recommendations clearly on the repair order.

  • Supervise apprentice technicians as needed and assist with their development.

  • Report equipment defects or malfunctions promptly to your supervisor.

  • Keep customer vehicles clean and report any changes in condition immediately.

  • Maintain and return all dealership-owned tools in good condition.

  • Stay current and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, technical bulletins).

  • Operate all tools and equipment safely and report any safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, or a combination of education and experience.

  • ASE Certification is a plus.

  • Cummins Engine Repair Certification is a plus.

  • Valid Class D driver’s license with a clean driving record required; CDL preferred.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Technical or college training preferred.
