Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. You will interact with visitors, tenants, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to address their questions or concerns. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor the premises for any unusual activity, reporting observations and/or incidents as required by site policies.
• Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address concerns and provide information as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as part of daily duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Possession of a valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
