Principal Systems Administrator

This is primarily a remote position, but qualified candidates must be capable of traveling to our Salem, OR office location within 1 hour, as necessary.

The Principal Systems Administrator serves as a technical leader within our Enterprise IT department, responsible for overseeing all IT systems for internal staff. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Our systems and infrastructure are primarily hosted in AWS and other SaaS platforms, with the exception of networking equipment in our Salem, OR office. Here's an overview of the systems managed by Enterprise IT:

• Servers and infrastructure hosted in AWS
• Business Productivity: Google Workspace
• idP: Microsoft Active Directory & Okta
• VDI: Amazon WorkSpaces
• VoIP: Genesys Cloud
• Endpoints: Thin Clients, Zero Clients, Chromebooks
• On-prem networking equipment

In addition to technical responsibilities, the Principal Systems Administrator is tasked with mentoring, training, and supporting associate-level Systems Administrators.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: And 6 years industry related experience or
  • Associate degree and 8 years of industry related experience; OR 10 years of industry related experience.
• Six years: Industry related experience (with Bachelor's Degree; see Education for equivalencies).

The salary range listed for this position MIN:$44.12 to MAX:$71.03 per hour is based upon the primary work location Salem, OR posted. This position is primarily remote. Salary range and offers are determined by internal pay equity and geographic cost of living differences. Salary range will vary from State and region. Salary max is limited to 75% range in order to continue to offer internal pay growth. We welcome open and transparent discussions on salary at Providence.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
