About the opportunity

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is looking for an Operations Officer (Information Solutions) to deliver exceptional information solutions support. You will be involved in a range of operational BAU projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Officer works closely with the Business Manager to deploy, support, maintain, and continuously improve a range of internal systems and processes dedicated to ongoing support of CCE’s non-award courses.

The Centre for Continuing Education is a multi-faceted business unit within the DVC Education portfolio in the University of Sydney. The CCE is a leading provider of professional development and corporate training short courses and is a highly successful business, currently experiencing extensive growth. This is an opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of projects and work within a team of highly collaborative and engaged individuals. Opportunity to work in a hybrid setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the operations platform and workflows

  • identifying break/fix of platforms, reporting, monitoring and ensuring stability of fixes

  • assisting in the management of project data integrity

  • maintaining student and course management database records

  • updating website content and preparing technical documentation of scripts and workflows

  • developing business reports and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel

  • undertaking a range of projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the Centre

About you

  • experience in an operational systems support role

  • proven skills in creating reports in Excel and Power BI/Tableau

  • content management experience using HTML and Java/Groovy/Python/R programming or similar

  • technical experience with databases and applications

  • strong attention to detail; excellent organisational and prioritising skills

  • motivated to use initiative and problem-solving abilities in a collegial and collaborative environment

  • tertiary skills in IT are desirable, but not essential.
