About the role
Definition
Under general supervision, teaches one or more classes in the field to students in grades 6 through 12, assists in other school programs as assigned, and creates a flexible program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s ability.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plans, organizes, and presents instruction and provides instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development.
• Teaches how technology systems interact with our world related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts (robotics, infrastructures, etc.).
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
• Develops instructional plans and organize a class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
• Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior required to provide an orderly and productive studio environment.
• Instructs students in proper care and use of materials and equipment, storage areas, and controls the use of materials and equipment to prevent loss or abuse.
• Evaluates each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and understanding, and prepares progress reports.
• Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or in self-selected professional growth activities.
• Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress.
• Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities.
• Participates in faculty and/or District committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public.
• Requires the ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in assessment and using its data for teaching and learning.
• Understanding the growth and development of assigned students.
• Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
Minimum Education and Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university in one of the following areas: . Accounting, Administrative Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Technologies, Management, M
