Anticipated Schedule: Night shifts 7 pm to 7:30 am. Every other weekend included. Three shifts per week

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Hospice House Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for delivering personal care services to patients in the Hospice House, ensuring their physical and emotional comfort. The CNA is responsible for assisting hospice patients with daily living activities and providing support to ensure their comfort, dignity, and quality of life during the end-of-life journey. As a member of the interdisciplinary teams, the CNA provides patient care and supportive services in accordance with the individual plan of care. The CNA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Active and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Washington State.

2. Minimum 18 years of age. 

3. Available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

4. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State. 

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or long-term care.

2. Experience in working with terminally ill patients.

CLINICAL STAFF POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)

2. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health, or obtain within 10 days of hire.

Compensation

Pay Range

Starting Range: $19.00 - $22.50 Hourly

Max Range: $19.00 - $32.00 Hourly

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish salary ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.
