Position Description:
PingWind is looking for a Data and Software Tester - Senior to work at U.S. SOUTHCOM in Doral Fl. Successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products before they are released to users, contributing to the success of software development projects. As a data tester, you will ensure the quality and accuracy of data by verifying data sources, extracting data, applying transformations, and loading it into target tables. You will test the company's data storage system before it goes live, focusing on data validation, data transformation testing, and data quality testing. All work is done in support of the U.S. SOUTHCOM’s combat mission and work is performed at their headquarters in Doral FL.
Responsibilities:
SOFTWARE:• Designing and executing test plans and test cases by creating a strategy for testing the software, outlining specific scenarios to be tested and the expected results • Perform testing by interacting with the software directly to identify problems, such as usability issues, functionality errors, or performance problems • Perform automated testing to identify and report defects: document bugs, errors, and other issues you may find, including details about how to reproduce them and their impact on the software • Collaborate with developers and evaluate the user experience• Ensure security by checking for security vulnerabilities that could allow unauthorized access or data breaches • Track and prioritize defects and participate in software design review
DATA:• Developing and running tests to verify data quality and accuracy• Pinpointing data errors, inconsistencies, or anomalies and reporting them to development teams• Diagnosing and resolving data-related issues• Working with other teams to ensure data quality and usability
Required Qualifications:
• Understanding of software development methodologies• Testers should be proficient in using various tools for manual and automated testing • Retain a basic understanding of programming can help testers write scripts for automated testing and understand the code • Be able to identify and analyze issues and propose solutions. • Communicate effectively with developers, other team members, and stakeholders • Carefully examine the software and identify even the smallest errors • Strong Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of coding languages (like SQL, Java, or XML)• Ability to analyze data and create reports to track data quality metrics• Proficiency in using data testing tools and software• TS with SCI Eligibility • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience• Five plus (5+) Years directly supporting Sys Admin, Quality, Data or Configuration Management • Current 8570 IAT Level II and a computing operations Certification such as AZ-104 as a minimum
