Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellness, social justice, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. We provide support and services to roughly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

The Assistant Coach for Men’s Lacrosse assists with team and player development and training, practice planning, evaluation of athlete performances, and recommendations to the head coach regarding participation in competitions and may have a specific focus (e.g. Offence, Defense, Goalies, Midfield).  This position also supports the identification, evaluation, and ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes, as well as assume on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities. Coaches are expected to support the team and players to thrive academically, and to integrate athletes with university and department services. The Assistant Coach participates in scheduling, planning and travel arrangements. Additional duties include researching and recommending equipment purchases, communication with alumni and friends of the program, and assisting with fundraising for program.

Currently searching for two Assistant Coach position. Depending on the position may range from 11-12 months per year, but is full-time and benefits eligible. Starting salary range is $62,500-$75,000 for this position; final offer will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes.

  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter.

  • A valid driver’s license is required to perform recruiting responsibilities.

  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting access, inclusion, belonging and wellbeing.

  • Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing
