Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.

Position Overview: This is a full-time exempt position which will assist the Director of Security. Position maintains and enforces security policies and procedures, while providing security of the buildings, artifacts, and other company assets. Responsible for a safe working environment for staff and visitors during all hours and all events. Position oversees and has daily interaction with the third-party security companies, which provide all security personnel. Position monitors, observes, and reports daily activities throughout the building. This position reports to the Director of Security. The Manager will work Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, focusing on weekend coverage and special events. Some extended evening work will be required as well.
Specific Duties Include:
- Assist the Director of Security in coordination of daily security operations.
- Assist Director of Security with daily and special event schedules for security officers
- Assist with writing and developing security policies and procedures for the security department.
- Ensures training plans are completed by the security officers.
- Assist with training on emergency procedures such as workplace violence, weather, fire, elevators, alarm panels and shut off valves.
- Attends weekly security meetings.
- Reports incidents as needed to the Director of Security
- Escorts/interacts with VIP’s, artists, dignitaries as part of routine responsibilities while maintaining professionalism, composure, and confidentiality.
- Assist with maintaining and updating, as needed, a comprehensive safety plan and emergency notification procedures.
- Assists with management of parking requests for our garage.
- Manage BEO and Event schedules, ensure security is scheduled for all events.
- Support after hour events, act as liaison between HOF Staff, Guest, VIPs, and Contract Security Personnel
- Train Event Security on emergency procedures for each event space.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Management and supervisory experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in the security field
- A two-year college education in a related field is preferable.
