Senior Careers Advisor (m/f/d)

BSBI is seeking a Senior Careers & Internship Advisor to support the expansion of our Careers Service and the implementation of the mandatory internship programme at our Barcelona Madrid campus.
This role combines career guidance for students and graduates with strong business growth responsibilities, particularly by building bridges with industry and securing internship agreements for BSBI students.

You will report to the Head of Careers Service and you will be based in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

Student Career Support

Provide individual career counselling and group guidance to students and graduates
Deliver in cooperation with Careers Service a variety of career-related in-person, online or hybrid on-campus workshops
Conceptualize, create and disseminate materials for students, graduates, staff members as well as for partner organizations and external businesses and institutions
Support students through the internship process, including applications, interviews, and placement preparation
Monitor student progress during internships and provide support where needed
Coordinate with academic staff to ensure internship placements align with programme requirements
Manage internship documentation and reports in collaboration with tutors and administrative teams
Act as a representative of the School’s Careers Service at professional events

Business Development & Employer Partnerships

Actively develop and expand BSBI’s network of industry partners, with a strong focus on securing formalized internship agreements with companies
Identify, approach and build relationships with organisations across key sectors such as Engineering, Health, Marketing and IT
Serve as the main contact for employers, internship supervisors ensuring placements are successfully arranged, managed and completed
Maintain strong relationships with partner organisations and monitor employer feedback
Organise and support employer engagement activities, including networking events and company presentations and visits

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with careers service, campus management, academic teams, marketing and student services across BSBI campuses
Prepare, contribute and assist with Careers Service events at all locations
Support the Head of Careers Service and Campus Manager with operational tasks as required

Dein Profil

• C2-level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• University degree
• Experience in career guidance, recruitment, talent development or student services
• Experience working in a higher education institution in Spain is highly desirable
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills with external organisations
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for supporting students’ employability and their personal development
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office programmes and Canva
