Summary
The Industrial Security Representative IV, will manage Industrial Security for a portfolio of programs supporting one of the Company’s business segments. As a Security team member, will advise Security and program leadership of resource needs; recommend program security execution plans; perform basic security oversight. Handle, maintain, and distribute sensitive security information and communication. Conceive, organize, and generate security manuals, policy, and procedures. Write clear, concise communication to the organization and leadership to relate security directives. Conduct investigations of security violations, prepare reports. Develop, administer, and track corrective actions to completion. Will mentor less seasoned teammates across the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and practices to protect classified and sensitive information.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with government agencies, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Manage security clearance processes for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct security education and training programs for employees to promote awareness and compliance.
- Investigate and report security incidents, breaches, and violations.
- Maintain and update security documentation, including security plans, incident reports, and access control records.
- Stay current on industry trends, security threats, and best practices to continuously improve security measures.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 8 – 12 years of relevant experience based on education.
- In-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule, ISLs, Executive Orders, and DoD Directives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of COMSEC requirements.
- USG database user (DISS, NISS, e-QIP or similar).
- Understanding of classification management processes and application of security classification guides.
- Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond effectively to emergencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using security equipment, such as radios, CCTV systems, and access control software
Physical Demands
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and any required physical fitness assessments.
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is:
$97,680 - $138,600AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
