About the role

The Manager, Global Retirement and Savings is the global program owner for the company’s retirement, savings, and employee investment programs, including the U.S. 401(k), non-U.S. mandatory and voluntary pension schemes, the global Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and the Employee Investment Plan (EIP).

As a lean, hands-on function, this role combines strong operational execution with a modern, data-informed approach to governance, vendor accountability, employee experience, process automation, and financial wellbeing across North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.

What you will do:

Global Retirement and Savings Strategy

  • Lead global retirement and savings programs with a focus on compliance, employee financial wellbeing, market competitiveness, scalability, and long-term affordability.
  • Evaluate plan design, participation, employee engagement, vendor performance, governance practices, regulatory changes, and market trends; translate insights into practical recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Maintain a global framework and program inventory covering eligibility, contributions, vendors, renewals, compliance obligations, key risks, and opportunities for simplification or modernization.

U.S. 401(k) Plan Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day administration, governance support, compliance, vendor coordination, and participant experience for the U.S. 401(k) program.
  • Support retirement committee materials, fiduciary documentation, audits, testing, notices, Form 5500 filings, amendments, and related compliance activities.
  • Use plan data, participant behavior, vendor reporting, and issue trends to improve education, savings engagement, operational controls, and service delivery.

Non-U.S. Pension and Savings Programs

  • Manage non-U.S. mandatory and voluntary pension and savings schemes, with emphasis on North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.
  • Partner with local HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, consultants, trustees, and vendors to ensure accurate administration, compliant operations, and locally relevant employee communications.
  • Support new country launches, plan transitions, vendor changes, M&A activity, and other business changes by applying a consistent global framework while adapting to local requirements.

ESPP and Employee Investment Plan Administration

  • Manage ESPP eligibility, enrollment, purchase processes, communications, vendor coordination, payroll integration, issue resolution, reporting, and compliance support.
  • Administer the EIP, including payroll deductions, participant support, vendor coordination, operational controls, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, Payroll, Compliance, and external advisors on plan requirements, reporting, taxable events, country-specific considerations, and employee-facing changes.

Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management

  • Maintain modern governance practices, documentation, controls, calendars, dashboards, and escalation processes for retirement, savings, ESPP, and EIP programs.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, tax, fiduciary, cybersecurity, data privacy, and market developments and coordinate required actions with internal and external partners.
  • Identify operational, compliance, vendor, data, technology, and participant experience risks and recommend pragmatic solutions that strengthen controls and reduce friction.

Operational Excellence, Data, and Employee Experience

  • Improve processes, reporting, reconciliations, file feeds, communications, controls, and employee service delivery for retirement and savings programs.
  • Use data, benchmarking, vendor analytics, issue trends, automation opportunities, and employee feedback to assess effectiveness and prioritize improvements.
  • Advance financial wellbeing efforts tied to retirement readiness, savings behavior, employee education, digital tools, and clear decision support.

Broader Total Rewards Support

  • Support broader Global Total Rewards priorities as needed, including health and welfare, wellness, compensation, HR operations, vendor governance, employee communications, M&A integration, new country launches, and special projects.
  • Provide agile, hands-on support during peak periods, audits, platform implementations, renewals, open enrollment, regulatory changes, or other high-impact initiatives.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, Benefits, or related field required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive retirement, savings, benefits, or Total Rewards experience, including hands-on plan administration responsibility.
