The Position:
The primary function of the position is to maintain, correct, and provide student record information and process graduation needs. This position serves as needed at the Office of the Registrar at either the NMC or Lawrence locations. This position will also serve as a backup for admissions processing as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Overriding Expectation:
- Demonstrate a strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success.
- Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported.
- Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student, or an internal or external customer, and get to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible. Responsibilities:
- Special projects such as correcting records, manual data entry, collecting and organizing grade rosters.
- Provides assistance with registration and changing enrollment.
- Process transactions for walk-in personnel and on the telephone.
- Enters and corrects student information in student information system.
- Process incoming high school and college transcripts.
- Process graduation request.
- Process verified credit.
- Respond to questions in person, phone or via email.
- Process/correct program, degree and specialty changes via graduation request.
- Assist with tasks such as creation of ID tags, parking tags, filing, etc.
- Assist with admissions processing (regular admissions applications, guest student applications, high school and college assessment waivers, etc.), particularly during peak times for the various processes included.
- Assist with any Student Affairs projects (either inside or outside of the Registrar’s Office) in which additional assistance is needed.
- Ensure that you are abiding by the Registrar’s Office Team Expectations (provided annually to staff (copy attached) at all times.

Education:
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail
- Data processing and advanced computer knowledge required (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
- Must be able to handle difficult situations and work under stress
- Lifting of boxed records, materials, and/or office equipment up to 25 pounds may be required
- Strong customer service skills are necessary
- Some travel required between the main campus and the Lawrence campus
- Must be able to work with and be responsible for confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree
- Experience in a Registrar’s Office
Position Requirements:
- Hours for this position are Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm

Starting Salary Range: $16.00/hour
