The Role:

Blue Owl is seeking an investment professional for a full-time Associate level position. The candidate’s primary area of focus at Blue Owl will be to support the firm’s Commercial Solutions Equipment and Software financing strategy. The Associate will assist with research, investment underwriting, asset management and other strategic initiatives. The job will provide opportunities to work collaboratively with both senior and junior members of the Investment Team.

Blue Owl’s commercial solutions strategy provides capital across a wide range of industries via equipment and asset-based financing transactions to public and privately-owned companies, and to specialty finance platforms active in equipment leasing. Transactions include financing for large-ticket mission critical assets, or programmatic funding of asset-based portfolios. Blue Owl’s commercial solutions business is also an equipment ABS issuer. 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in underwriting and execution of investments
• Involvement across multiple transactions at once, working across all aspects of the investment process including due diligence, underwriting and Investment Committee presentation
• Assist in legal documentation process, including drafting term sheets
• Assist with efforts to expand the firm’s investment strategy in the equipment financing space
• Oversee existing investments and provide portfolio reporting
• Involvement in relationships with borrowers and sourcing counterparties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• Experience in related field including investment banking, special situations, private credit, private equity or other relevant investing experience
• High levels of ownership, drive and integrity. Organized and able to multi-task

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $150,000 – $170,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
