CET Engineering – Administrative Assistant

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Student Worker to support GCU's mission through the College of Engineering and Technology. The position will assist faculty and staff with administrative duties as well as contribute to larger Engineering projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

• Creates a collaborative, positive experience for all students, faculty, and staff of CET and maintains a high satisfaction rate.

• Responds to incoming student inquiries, assesses student, faculty, and staff needs, and advises appropriately.

• Assists with larger Engineering events and projects.

• Special projects as assigned.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

• MS Office

• Canva

Qualifications:

• Current Engineering student preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and team-oriented skills with the ability to work within a highly structured environment.

• Detail oriented and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time reviewing data.

• Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• High level of integrity maintaining confidentiality.

Experience/Education:

Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

• Retain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
