Overview

As a fast-paced and growing hotel investment and operating firm HEI is seeking a proactive and self-motivated analyst to join its Strategy team based out of our corporate headquarters in Norwalk, CT. The group supports our hotels, regional teams, and corporate functions to strengthen our positioning and maximize our resources, which in turn protects our associates and our owners’ interests while creating sustainable real estate value. As the group analyst, this position will be actively involved in the value creation process across the company including acquisitions, human resources, operations, finance, owner relations, compliance, design & construction, and other key areas.

 

The position works closely with the Chief Strategy & Compliance Officer and Director of Strategic Planning to identify, assess, and provide ongoing support to various enterprise-wide value enhancement programs. The position assists in the entire lifecycle of each process it supports, from early creation to short- and long-term planning to monthly execution and tracking, primarily by providing analytical support and tracking compliance in accordance with company rhythms. The role maintains the integrity of HEI’s Incentive program and provides additional support in human resources, finance and investment analytics. The analyst is an integral part of the team and will be exposed to and involved in nearly all aspects of the business

Responsibilities

  • Provide monthly administration of HEI’s Incentive Program including development, performance monitoring, administration, payouts and benchmarking for both corporate and the field.
  •  Manage critical human resources processes such as quarterly Positive Associate Relations Surveys and utilize this data as well as data from Associate Opinion Surveys to assist leaders in making targeted talent development and associate environment improvements
  • Work closely with Compensation team in performing regular analysis on wages and compensation for associates in specific markets across the country including theoretical financial impact and benefit analysis for any changes to rates or staffing
  •  Perform ad-hoc analysis or other analytical projects to support the group directive as well as other directives impacting the full enterprise including healthcare, human capital management, tool compliance, expense management, financial results and operating analysis etc.
  •  Communicate with internal HEI stakeholders to ensure process optimization and data management as well as external stakeholders as needed.
  •  Provide ongoing support maintaining existing spreadsheets and presenting data in a cohesive manner through PowerPoint, Excel, verbal communication, etc.
  •  Comply with company policy as defined in the Corporate Employee Handbook

Qualifications

Desired Experience and Skill Set

  •  B.S. from an accredited college or university required.
  •  Absolute proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word ability are required. VBA experience a plus.
  •  0-1 years of relevant analytical experience required. Hospitality or real estate experience preferred.
  •  Ability to takeover a process that is already in place, identify areas of opportunity, and then implement improvements to optimize and command that process moving forward
