The Role:

The Cloud and Network Security - Lead Enterprise Architect position entails developing and operationalizing network security architecture including a strong focus on Cloud network security, on-premises network segmentation, perimeter, secure access service edge (SASE), zero trust network (ZTN) access. This role will encompass market leading protection capabilities supporting large global enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will possess and maintain strong understanding of network vulnerabilities, threat models, protection frameworks and methods to disrupt threat actors both in on-prem and in a Cloud centric hybrid model. The successful candidate will be adept at creating secure architectures and design patterns. Strong engineering experience is essential to ensure that architectures can be successfully implemented while factoring in ease of integration, operational overhead, and effectiveness. This role reports to the Director & Head of Infrastructure Architecture at Citi.

Responsibilities

• Develop network security architecture and strategy in alignment with overall Citi Cybersecurity Architecture and in partnership/collaboration with other Citi Technology teams
• Develop secure cloud network architecture across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
• Develop and maintain the Citi network security standard including cloud networking and connectivity
• Ensure network security practices align with industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Maintain strong awareness of network/cloud-native security tools & technologies, network device/appliance vulnerabilities, mitigations, and attack frameworks partnering with the Vulnerability Management teams
• Assess gaps in network security capabilities, while maintaining market and vendor awareness of both trends and advancing capabilities in alignment to the network architecture including perimeter architecture
• Work with CITI’s Cyber Security Lab to identify and support innovation in capabilities necessary to fill critical capability gaps
• Interface and support Citi’s Security Architecture Council, Steering Committee, and Working Groups building strong rapport across teams with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support Citi’s adoption of cloud continuum and holistic digital transformation

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in Cybersecurity and/or IT Architecture in relevant alignment to the qualifications detailed below
• Proven SME level knowledge of designing and implementing network security including hands-on experience with AWS, GCP and Azure
• Expert proficiency in security tools and technologies including IDS/IPS, ACLs, Micro/Macro Segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), etc.
