The Store Depot Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and testing of equipment and devices at our SSC location. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure all equipment meets operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and electronic equipment returned to the depot.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration and testing of devices to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Document repair processes, including parts used, time spent, and outcomes, in the company's tracking system (AssetTrac).
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Identify and report recurring issues to improve product quality and reduce future repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations where applicable.
  • Assist in inventory Management of major components and spare parts, tools required for repairs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff or trainees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associates degree in IT electronics , or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment repair, electronics troubleshooting, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, soldering equipment, and other repair instruments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware components, circuitry, and basic software diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and other related documentation as it pertains to the equipment.
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory management
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GameStop store equipment and or related retail components and software.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards (i.e., ISO, A+ Certifications)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a depot or warehouse environment.
