About the role

Onboarding Specialist-Talent Acquisition

This position is based at our beautiful corporate office in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Friday.

This position will be responsible for guiding managers and candidates through the onboarding experience. Responsible for various routine and advanced Human Resources administrative duties, which includes HRIS data entry. Responsible for assisting with as well as coordinating special projects as assigned. Provides administrative expertise on the research, storage, retrieval of information pertaining to recruitment and the pre-employment process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for managers and candidates experience; keeping all parties engaged and informed during the pre-employment/onboarding experience, enhancing the overall candidate and manager experience.
  • Responsible for compliance in all pre-employment and onboarding phases adhering to organization as well as state and federal requirements.
  • Builds relationships by providing timely updates, delivering valuable insights and relevant experience.
  • Delivers unwavering support and top-notch service.
  • Connects with their audience, networks, promotes talent discussions within Surgery Partners.
  • Works with stakeholders to determine and designate screenings.
  • Works with candidates serving as primary guide for background checks, new hire paperwork and on-boarding ensuring customer service, compliance as well as completion in a timely manner.
  • Works with and coordinates pre-employment screening requirements with necessary occupational medicine, employee health and pre-employment testing facilities when necessary.
  • Consistently monitors pre-employment screening process and escalates issues when required and work with appropriate parties to resolve
  • Review requisitions and candidate profiles for accuracy prior to onboarding of new hires to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordination of day one activities including start time & work attire
  • Electronically save candidate recruitment files including pre-employment screens
  • Assist with job fairs and open house talent acquisition events
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of related experience required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

KNOWLEDGE/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional maturity.
  • Must possess highly proficient computer skills – particularly Excel and Word.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must have strong organizational, follow up and follow through skills.
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Must have strong communication (written and oral) skills and be able to deal with stressful situations.
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Must be a self starter and actively engage to offer additional support to team during down times.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Busy office environment. Standing, sitting, stooping, bending, dexterity to type, file, phone work, ability to carry/lift up to 10 pounds. Must be able to sustain long periods of sustained concentration for data entry, analysis and mathematical calculations. May occasionally be required to travel to another site and must possess valid state driver’s license.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much telephone and data entry work. Occasional evening or weekend work.
