Lam Research is looking for an experienced inventory management and cost accountant Financial Analyst to be part of a digital transformation team supporting Lam’s Finance Business Unit. This position’s primary responsibility is the design and testing of new automated processes in an SAP S/4 environment that will simplify the future activities for the Global Operations (GOPS) finance role. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for working across multiple groups, functions, and geographies to successfully deliver business value. This individual will need to have excellent communication skills, determination, and perseverance to be successful.  The role will report to the Cost Accounting Senior Manager.

 The position requires broad experience across core IT services, platforms and systems along with extensive experience and knowledge of inventory, costing and manufacturing finance processes. The person in this role provides leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of one or more information technology and system functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. The role requires subject matter knowledge of the processes and SAP S/4 capabilities

What You’ll Do

• Support the digital transformation of the GOPS finance function across the US, Europe and Asia, setting the strategic direction for the organization in support of business objectives, and ensure the structures and processes needed to effectively deliver are in place. Ensures commitments are delivered & objectives are met.
• Support the optimization of the systems across Finance and Lam.
• Provide business partnership, engaging with business leaders and executives to deliver the goals of digital transformation. These goals include adherence to compliance, simplification through systems implementations and enhanced reporting and analytics to support the business.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional matrixed environment to deliver innovative services and solutions to business needs.
• Provide continuity and visibility across Finance and Lam programs.
• Interact, influence, and align with all levels of Lam management and executives while delivering services and capability to Finance.
• Develop the organizations skills, capabilities, and processes to meet GIS, GOPS and Finance challenges and opportunities.
• Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous work situations.

Who We’re Looking For

• Minimum of seven (7) years of IT and Manufacturing, Inventory and costing business experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in successfully leading and managing diverse cross functional programs
• Demonstrated business relationship management and leadership
• Understanding of Finance processes, challenges, and opportunities.
• Technical experience required; Sound understanding of S/4 Materials management, material ledger and profitability analysis
• Strong cross-group collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams both within the division and across the company
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations, written, verbal and listening communication skills.
• Experience managing a team directly and in a matrix organization.
• Location open to either Fremont CA or Tualatin/Portland OR

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience
• Sound understanding and experience with SAP S/4 implementations
• Experience with designing business processes and how to design business processes with S/4 functionality in mind
• Constant learner and keeps up to date with new functionality in S/4
• SAP FI certification preferred/ CPA preferred 
• Business knowledge of treasury, tax and general accounting
• Business knowledge of manufacturing operations and industry
