Our landscape architecture team is growing! This position offers the opportunity for career growth, client interaction, and the ability to work with a progressive team of professionals that continually seek to improve public spaces with the most current best practices. Our project portfolio includes the new Delaware River Trail on the east side of Philadelphia, many public parks throughout the city and region, green stormwater projects throughout Philadelphia, the Camden County LINK trail, and many other exciting public projects within the region.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Landscape Architect and Project Manager with 10-15 years of experience to join our landscape architecture team in the Philadelphia office. In addition, the ideal candidate should have at least 5 years in the construction administration phase of projects. The candidate must have significant project management experience through all project phases ranging from master planning and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration. The candidate must have the ability to provide solid technical expertise and advice, perform redline reviews of design drawings at all stages of design, with an emphasis on construction detailing, final design and documentation, be comfortable reviewing and editing technical specifications, and providing input on construction budget estimates. The ideal candidate will also be fluent in AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign, and may need to assist with document production.

This position will report to the Philadelphia studio’s Principal Landscape Architect and will collaborate with landscape architecture, engineering, and planning staff.

 

The position will focus mainly on the design of public and higher education spaces, including parks, campus design, trails, and green stormwater infrastructure. The ideal candidate should also have an interest and willingness to assist the team in pursuing projects, responding the Requests for Proposals, and business development activities.

 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:  

  • Project management through all project phases
  • Landscape Architectural design through all project phases
  • Mentoring staff
  • Redline reviews of project deliverables
  • Community engagement meetings
  • Collaboration with engineers and transportation planners
  • Researching and responding to Requests for Proposals and other marketing/business development pursuits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 10 years minimum design experience
  • 5 years Construction Administration experience preferred
  • Landscape Architecture License active for Pennsylvania
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and InDesign
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • High degree of enthusiasm to join a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, engineers, and planners who strive to improve our local communities through design

This is a full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
