This role reports directly to the Head of Global Financial Services NAOR, and frequently collaborates with other team members, as well as other departments within the organization. The AR Staff Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting and finance functions for a diverse line of business entities that include retail, online/ecommerce, and wholesale. The position will provide exceptional support to the accounting department and own a diverse area of responsibilities and ancillary tasks.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions with precision and efficiency.
- Own key components of the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with department leaders to monitor budgets, track expenses, and resolve discrepancies before they become issues.
- Assist in preparing for annual audits by compiling schedules, gathering documentation, and liaising with external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance accuracy.
- Support special projects and other tasks assigned by manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate), with a proven track record of accuracy and reliability.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset—you don’t just identify issues, you propose solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
