Job Summary:

This job will oversee direct tax support for all business initiatives, transactions, new product launches, and commercial arrangements within your portfolio jurisdiction. You will assess and maintain support files and lead the process of booking new journal entries with the accounting team. Building strong relationships with business teams, finance teams, and other stakeholders is crucial, as you will work cross-functionally to provide clear, consistent, and comprehensive tax guidance in a timely manner. Additionally, you will prepare presentations and submissions for tax authorities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee direct tax support for all business initiatives, transactions, new product launches and commercial arrangements in the portfolio jurisdictions presentations for and submissions to the tax authority
  • Assess and maintain support files
  • Lead with the Accounting team the process of booking new journal entries
  • Build strong relationships with the business teams, finance teams, and other stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with these teams to provide clear, consistent, and comprehensive tax guidance in a timely manner
  • Manage tax controversy matters within the portfolio jurisdictions, including researching issues under audit and presenting options to senior members within the Tax department
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of current and proposed tax policy changes in the portfolio jurisdictions
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's business and operating structure
  • Guide plans and strategies to mitigate tax risks and optimize opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
