<p><b>There are NO limits to your career: come shape the future and be part of a truly unique global culture at OutSystems!</b></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><b>About This Role</b></b></p><p></p><p>As an Oracle Application Database Administrator in OutSystems R&amp;D, you’ll be a member of the group of teams responsible for maintaining and evolving the capabilities of our platform, in the context of database management.</p><p>If you are a problem solver, curious by nature, and driven by curiosity, this is the job for you</p><p></p><h2><b><b>Job Responsibilities and Expectations</b></b></h2><ul><li><span>Collaborate with development teams to design, implement and improve the usage of the database by the platform and applications, and enforce database best practices embedded into our development practices;</span></li><li><span>Analyzing and optimizing database performance, including query/index tuning, analysis of execution plans, and resource utilization;</span></li><li><span>Monitoring database health, designing and executing maintenance plans, and implementing disaster recovery procedures for critical databases;</span></li><li><span>Mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members;</span></li><li><span>Stay current with the latest database technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.</span></li><li><span>Troubleshoot calls from 2nd/3rd line of support, infrastructure and development teams, ensuring the problem doesn’t get any worse and, of course, resolving the reported issue.</span></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b><b>Desired Skills &amp; Experience</b></b></h2><ul><li><span>Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; </span></li><li><span>6+ years of experience in database administration with a primary focus on Oracle;</span></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of database administration in SQL Server is a plus;</span></li><li><span>Oracle and SQL Server certification are a plus;</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of database administration with MySQL and PostgreSQL is not mandatory, but it is welcome;</span></li><li><span>Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, etc);</span></li><li><span>Solid experience as a DBA in managing large-scale, mission-critical Oracle database environments;</span></li><li><span>Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies;</span></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of database disaster recovery solutions;</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in database security best practices and compliance requirements;</span></li><li><span>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues;</span></li><li><span>Strong communication skills and fluency in English;</span></li><li><span>Leadership skills with a collaborative mindset;</span></li><li><span>Drive to innovate and bring development best practices into your team;</span></li><li><span>Drive to understand what are the upcoming technologies and frameworks;</span></li><li><span>Coding skills in C# (general knowledge about development with .NET) are a plus, with an emphasis on using these skills for database solutions.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>The Longer Story:</b></p>OutSystems enables enterprise teams to build AI-powered applications and agents that reduce manual work, streamline internal operations, and accelerate impact.
