Where the chemistry happens…

 

For our Professional & Specialty Solutions (P&SS) business, you will provide strategic leadership to portfolio and asset development – from early research all the way to product launch and work with global functions and regional marketing to ensure maximization of our assets. Your primary focus is on Professional Pest Management, specifically for termite and rodent control and your scope expands to other segments like Home & Garden and Pro Vegetation Management.

As a Global Marketing Manager - Professional Pest Management, You Create Chemistry By...

 

• Providing strategic leadership to portfolio development: reviewing and updating current portfolio, conducting life cycle management and understanding customers’ needs as well as identifying gaps and find solutions to fill them. 
• Leading a global core team responsible for the development and management of product concepts, active ingredients or technology projects. Managing R&D and portfolio projects and tracking milestones and project development progress. Manage risks to project progress, ensuring that the financial KPI’s are clearly identified, measured and reported.
• Creating asset management strategies, managing risks and opportunities for the key AIs for Termite Control and Rodenticides and support operations colleagues in the management of BASFs rodenticide plant and ensuring maximization of our assets.
• Reviewing trends to identify new business potential or threats and developing clear direction on how the segments support the overall strategy, ensuring regional implementation of the strategy.
• Managing relationships with global third parties in relation to the Active Ingredients commercial operation, contract compliance, and contract negotiations.
• Developing global assumptions with the regions to ensure the relevance of project business cases and reviewing regional forecasts to ensure they are consistent with expectations for long-term business development. Building risk scenarios and contingency plans.

If you...

 

• Bring your Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field (e.g., Entomology), along with your 10 years'  professional experience in business development or marketing within the professional pest management or agricultural field. MBA is preferred.
• Are able to work across global and regional functions.
• Have a strong business acumen, and your understand of the research pipelines of BASF’s key competitors globally.
