Job Description Summary

The Assistant Director of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL) will be a key leader within the Division of University Life, supporting the strategic direction of fraternity and sorority life. This position is responsible for advancing leadership programs, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Greek community, and enhancing the student experience through advising and mentorship. The Assistant Director will work directly with chapter members, councils, and university stakeholders to foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports student development and aligns with the University’s mission.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leadership programs tailored to emerging and current fraternity and sorority leaders, emphasizing personal growth, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with university partners to design workshops, conferences, and retreats, including annual and ongoing programs such as Greek Leadership Academy and Cultural Greek Leadership Conference.
  • Oversee training for chapter officers, council executives, and emerging leaders, providing resources and support to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion within the fraternity and sorority community, working to create programs that foster belonging, cultural competency, and respectful dialogue.
  • Collaborate with the university’s Office of Inclusion & Intercultural Relations (or equivalent) to implement initiatives that promote inclusivity and equitable experiences across all chapters and councils.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to designated Greek councils and chapters, supporting chapter leaders in operational effectiveness, conflict resolution, and values alignment.
