BEUMER Group A/S is looking for a competent Mechanical Project Assistant for our Customer Support Engineering team to be part of a team working on Airport upgrade projects. You get to do so as a part of a highly skilled team where you get to utilise and develop your technical insight in our international work environment.

The team
In Aarhus, you will be part of the Customer Support Mechanical Project Engineering team responsible for the mechanical project engineering of highly automated baggage handling systems in some of the world's biggest airports. Here, you will be part of a larger team that takes the full responsibility for the mechatronic part of a complete system delivery.

With reference to the Project Manager and in close cooperation with the project group, you will be responsible for preparing system layouts that comply with our internal design rules and which ensure that the mechanical installation fits the physical framework of the system.

The job 
Your primary tasks will be to: 

• Control and carry out the preparation of system layouts in AutoCAD.
• Collecting all information for installation works and prepare site binders for supervisor.
• Elaborate and complete mounting instructions and drawings.
• Support installation team onsite  and communicate with internal and external suppliers.
• Coordinate and integrate sub-supplier's designs into our system according to the design interfaces.
• Check system layouts according to specific system design rules and CE/current legislation for safety at different countries.
• Preparing project layout submissions to customer for approval of equipment placements and project specific design.
• Follow-up on internal supplies/milestones in the production and make order of parts to be used for installation works.
• Update layouts to as-built level and submission to e-doc for data storage as well as the project database to as-built level before project closure.

The travel activity is limited, but you will need to travel onsite when needed.

Your qualifications
We expect you to be a recently graduated Technical Designer, Production Technologist or Mechanical Engineer. . A minimum of  2 to 3 years of project experience is preferable. Our systems are often very complex, and you must therefore be very 3D-minded and have experience with AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks and perforable work with documentation in hard copies. You write and speak English and a  second foreign language is an asset.

Personally, you are dedicated, have a sharp overview, but at the same time focused on the detail. Furthermore, we value independence, ability to seek information, when needed and flexibility.
