Trial Attorney Personal Injury

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is a civil litigation firm that focuses on plaintiff's side personal injury and school/government liability cases. We are looking for highly motivated trial attorney to take on heavy load of trials coming up. The right candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience and be able to handle a large volume of files, meet deadlines, create litigation plans, conduct discovery while maintaining exceptional client interaction. Fluency in Spanish is a major plus. Applicants should have strong organizational skills, want responsibility, enjoy trial work, and have good people skills. Applicants should also be a team player and a strong desire to zealously advocate on behalf of their clients. The right attorney will have compassion and understanding for the clients they are working with. They will also have integrity and excellence for the work they will be doing for the firm. Must be able to adhere to the firm's core values and have strong, long-lasting client relationships. You will report directly to our Lead Attorney.     Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases from filing of the complaint to trial
• Provide guidance and lead the litigation team
• Taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Reviewing drafted documents from staff and associates
• Trial preparation and strategy
• Prepare and strategize Motions in Limine and associated trial documents
• Settlement negotiations
• Settlement/dispositive proceedings [Mediations, arbitrations, etc.]
• Jury trials as First and 2nd chair 
• Post-trial motions
• Provide legal opinions to clients

  Requirements

• Candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
• All applications will be handled with strict confidentiality.*
• Minimum 3-5 trial experience as first chair
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of Personal injury litigation experience
• Be able to work under strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to handle a large case load
• Strong legal research and analysis
• Strong legal writing skills
• Law and motion experience
• Well organized and detail oriented
