Overview
The world is currently overflowing with data - user data, client data, panel data, third party data - and every company and platform thinks their data is THE key to unlocking business problems. Just as Wieden + Kennedy never subscribes to a single creative approach, we don’t buy that there’s any single best approach to data, so we’re looking for someone who can help us cut through the noise to match the right data resources with the right problem.
At Wieden + Kennedy, we strive to help brands find their voice in the world, which requires a deep understanding of both the brand and the world they’re operating in. This role will help us get sharper at finding and defining opportunities for our brands in culture.
This will require not only a facility with turning numbers into insights, but also a broad knowledge and comfort across many different sources of information. We will provide hands on training to help you leverage these sources and want you to see you develop expertise in these as you matriculate. The sources of information may include an awareness and fluency with different subscription platforms and panels like YouGov, Mintel, Brandwatch and Kantar’s Global Monitor, to confidently navigating Google Insights and Trends, to digging through Statista or search results, to mining consultancies like McKinsey and Accenture, to utilizing social management tools like Sprinklr - we want someone who can efficiently surface useful, inspiring data from a variety of sources to help answer pressing problems for our brands.

There will also be responsibilities focused on reporting on creative performance or vetting the potential of an idea.
While we hope this person will be able to help translate their data discoveries into actionable insights, the storytelling and strategy development will largely be handled by the brand planners. Therefore this role is perfect for someone with an insatiable curiosity, a love of research and going down the rabbit hole, and a collaborative, thoughtful nature.
