We are currently seeking a Material Distribution Handling Specialist will be responsible for order, receipt, storage, issue and shipping of Contractor Acquired Material, Government Furnished Material, and Company Tools according to procedures for task assigned. This is a full-time position within our Systems Integration team working on the ITSIS contract.
What You Will Do

Assist the Systems Integrations group at our National City warehouse in all logistics requirements required by tasks assigned.

Candidate will assist in transporting and shipments of tools and materials.

Material and equipment packaging/crating.

Perform delivery and pickup functions.

Use of forklift and pallet jacks to maneuver materials and tools within the warehouse storage and trucks.

Process cable tags requests.

Store, issue, transfer, inspect property to and from sites and vendors.

Process export shipments.
What You Must Have
-
Experience in logistics, receiving, issue, storage, shipping, delivery, etc
-
Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

Must have a valid license for driving company vehicles.

Must have Forklift experience and qualifications.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs for manual labor actives in the warehouse

Good communication skills both verbal and written

Experience with safe handling of Hazardous materials

Experience in shipping, packaging, crating of equipment and materials for shipment

Direct knowledge of logistics work on government contracts.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Bonus Points For...

Knowledge of Government and Contractor Acquired Material as it relates to inventory, issue and storage.

Experience with DLA system and DRMO processing systems.
-
Current Forklift certification highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
