Duration: Temporary Full Time starting immediately to the end of Sept. 2025
Schedule: Full-time. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, required.

Position Summary
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for cashiering and customer service in Kualoa Ranch’s gift shop, ensuring guests have a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and restocking merchandise. The ideal candidate is friendly, customer-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Essential Responsibilities
• Greet and assist guests at the Visitors Center, providing directions and answering questions about Kualoa Ranch.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Handle Point of Sale (POS) transactions, including cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment, processing all purchases accurately and courteously.
• Prepare and package guest purchases, including wrapping and bagging merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and displays are visually appealing.
• Unpack deliveries, price merchandise, and assist with inventory counts.
• Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Frequent walking, reaching, handling merchandise, and stocking shelves.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required (or two years of related work experience equivalent).
• Retail sales and cashiering experience required.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations and process transactions with accuracy.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
