About
The Global Product & RD team is building up core TikTok products to ensure TikTok continues a healthy growth, deliver the best product experience to all of our users, build the most attractive features to help users enjoy their time on TikTok, earn trust in privacy protection, and more.
The Global Product team is growing exponentially. The business lines are ranging from Monetization Technology, Data, Machine Learning, System, Infrastructure, AR Effects, Security Technology and more.

About the team
TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the core TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Product Infrastructure, Social, Creation, Photo-Text and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas.

Responsibilities
- Tool Design for Effect House: Design a powerful AR tool for designers to create, publish, and share high-quality augmented effects for TikTok
- Framework Design: Possess strong framework thinking and logical reasoning skills. Participate in defining the interaction framework and guidelines for tools to lower the usage threshold for designers and support long-term product growth
- Strong Execution: Lead key projects independently, demonstrating excellent UI visual design skills.
- Passion for Cutting-Edge Technologies: Demonstrate strong enthusiasm for design tools, 3D, and cutting-edge AI technologies. Use this passion to explore innovative solutions that meet user needs and support product growth.
- User-Centric Design: Deeply engage with and use the product to understand the business. Self-driven to discover user needs through data analysis and user research, translating these insights into actionable design solutions and ensuring their implementation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of product design experience for web or tools.
- Experience leading multiple projects from strategy to launch with keen attention to detail.
- Skilled in rapid iteration and concept production.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts, vision, and decisions.
- Experienced in collaborating with various organizational stakeholders.
- Open-minded, self-motivated, receptive to feedback, and patient.
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable to rapid changes and less-than-ideal situations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in A/B testing and data-driven design.
- Knowledge of front-end programming.
- Enthusiastic about TikTok and its community.
