Sr. Manager, Total Rewards

 

Databricks is looking for a compensation expert to join our growing People team.  As Compensation Programs Director, you will be at the center of developing and managing strategic programs with a global impact.  Our mission is to build a world class compensation function that supports operational efficiency and transparency across the People team and empowers our employees to do the best work of their careers.

You will report to the Director of Global Compensation and partner broadly with compensation team members and partners across the business.  We move quickly with intention and will rely on your expertise in balancing process and innovation to create employee experiences that are scalable and locally relevant across the globe.

The impact you will have:

• Manage global compensation programs aligning to our strategic goals and our compensation philosophy
• Establish and administer key compensation guidelines and policy documents to support our continued growth, emphasizing a global employee experience with local market relevance
• Develop and manage  comprehensive project plans for large-scale programs including annual focal processes
• Guide program improvements and automate key aspects of the compensation lifecycle to create highly efficient, scalable, and duplicative processes
• Collaborate with compensation partners to define and deliver on key objectives; build cross-functional relationships to support interlock across teams and serve as a strategic partner to the business
• Set the tone for pay parity and pay fairness through ownership of our ongoing fair pay review and annual certification process

What we look for:

• 8 or more years compensation experience with proven success as a thoughtful compensation partner
• Strong project management skills
• Agility to pivot quickly and drive change management at a company-wide level
• Data-driven approach to decision making; able to effectively articulate program ideas and business impact to company leaders
• Experience developing policies, guidelines, and reference material to build and support programs for growth and scale

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$159,300—$281,800 USD
