We are hiring for the following:

Position:    Certified Medical Assistant - NC

Schedule: Varies

Location: Catawba County Detention Center

Pay Rate: starting at $21/hour

Responsibilities:

• Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
• Stocks the medication cart
• Records what medications and dosages were given for the day

• Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies
• Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as Mediko Staff in accordance
  with Mediko and Facility Guidelines.  This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AAMT) required
• Associate’s Degree required
• One year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AAMT) required
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
