About the role

Overview

As a Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations, you will lead and manage CareCentrix' Enterprise Infrastructure services and operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Infrastructure, this role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's core infrastructure, including servers, data center, operations, and cloud environments to support business goals and ensure operational excellence. The Senior Director will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic infrastructure plans, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, and maintaining the security and compliance of all systems.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Develop, implement, manage, and support CareCentrix' technology infrastructure strategy, encompassing computers, storage, databases, and cloud operations to ensure platform efficiency and compliance
  • Lead the server engineering team, managing operations and server-related infrastructure
  • Establish strategic vision and roadmaps for container services and technology, promote a culture of innovation to deliver secure business solutions, enhance operational excellence, reduce operating costs through technology rationalization and standardization, and develop workforce strategies with a focus on talent development and retention
  • Oversee and collaborate with system administrators to manage the maintenance of server hardware, including rackmount servers, storage arrays, appliances, and auxiliary networking equipment.
  • Lead the technical design, architecture, engineering, and support of On-Prem & cloud solutions
  • Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other recommended security standards
  • Function as the Infrastructure solutions project leader to prioritize and manage project deadlines, navigate simultaneous projects and other cross-functional team demands, and ensure timely and effective execution and delivery of projects and related deliverables.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to translate new opportunities into an actionable roadmap, track progress, and deliver new product capabilities on time and on budget.
  • Identify gaps in systems such as high availability, performance, security, stability, instrumentation, and maintainability, and propose effective solutions for improvement.
  • Lead Incident Management process during incidents to ensure that there is proper tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., SOC2, HiTrust) by implementing necessary controls and audits
  • Disaster Recovery & Service Continuity: Create and sustain high-availability designs, monitoring and alerting systems, and disaster recovery plans to guarantee continuous access to applications and services.
  • Partner with the core operations and automation teams to meet deadlines set by leadership, resolve infrastructure issues, and automate overly manual processes
  • Maintain awareness about modern technologies, platforms, and delivery methods, and offer guidance on which emerging technologies should be adopted and integrated into the organization to ensure that technology capabilities align with and support the organization's strategies.
  • Drive accountability and metrics ownership, while effectively communicating information to the organization
  • Successfully manage the completion of major capital investment projects, with compelling business cases and find ways to improve the company's bottom line

Qualifications

You should apply if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with MBA or related work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ IT Infrastructure related experience with a minimum of 5 years’ progressive strategy and management experience
  • Experience completing major capital investment projects, managing technology vendors, recruiting and building high-performing teams, and building technical and security standards
  • Strong experience with SAN, Block and NFS storage systems and VMware Administration including managing ESXi hosts, Virtual Networking, and vCenter
  • Experience in data center operations including the implementation and support of private and hybrid public cloud computing environments.
  • Networking Protocols: Skilled in TCP/IP, NFS, and SSH/SFTP. Scripting and Automation: Proficient in scripting languages and automation tools such as Perl/Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Expertise in Linux Administration: Proficient in managing Redhat, CentOS, and OpenSuse.
  • A deep understanding of On-Prem & cloud security concepts, including Firewalls, VPCs, Encryption, Authentication, and Authorization (SSO, Active Directory/LDAP, etc.)
