Job Overview:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Institutional Client Success serves as part of a team dedicated to an institution that has both product manufacturing divisions and financial professionals or financial advisors. The AVP role is within LPL’s client success division supporting the institutions distribution channel. The Client Success organization was formed at LPL to provide an integrated and consistent experience across primary touchpoints with LPL and to help institutions run thriving businesses. This role will focus on deepening relationships and delivering added value by increasing the engagement with the full breadth of tools and resources LPL provides.
The IS Client Success team is responsible for the leadership of LPL's institutional clients, where the AVP acts as an operational and efficiency consultant, providing a proactive approach. The AVP will be a point of contact responsible for carrying out the tenants of an aligned strategic partnership between firms to drive revenue growth, business efficiencies and the execution of our strategic partnership agreement. This individual will need to build meaningful relationships through the high engagement of representing the client perspective on various initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role has a combination of strong business acumen, a consulting mindset, and financial services knowledge to assist with the development and delivery of our key objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to increase client satisfaction, retention and sales growth
- Manage high profile and complex situations with ease
- Execute the operating governance structure across specific functional partnership pods to deliver contractual obligations and desired business results
- Responsible for the ongoing strategic alignment, contractual and day to day business management
- Deliver on going KPI and SLA reporting management aligned to the institutional priorities and strategy
- Coordinate and maintain standing governance structures with frequent meetings and connection points at all levels of the firm to ensure alignment, assess progress and to drive results
- Implement the institutional client interaction model including coordination, presentation material creation, objective setting and reporting
- Lead efforts supporting day to day operational and solutions management
- Examine trends, develop insights, and create solutions in order to better support advisors
- Partnering with conference services to deliver exceptional education and conference events.

Requirements:
- 4-7+ years of experience in wealth management, preferably in a sales and/or client service/relationship management capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Core Competencies:
- Expert consensus builder who drives change across initiatives within and outside direct accountability and evaluates solutions to the most complex business challenges
- Prior experience managing relationships in the institutional space or business to business space
- Extensive knowledge of the client segment, organization, product, industry, and end customer (financial institutions)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the financial service industry, compliance, products and services
- Ability to identify and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
Preferences:
- Series 7, 63 preferred, additional licenses or designations are a plus
- Experience managing relationships with financial institutions
