Senior Mission Systems Avionics Communications/Datalinks Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior Mission Systems Avionics Communications/Datalinks Engineer to join our Team ! You will be a high-performing member of Systems Engineering team supporting NAVAIR PEO-T.  

• As the Communications/Datalinks Systems Engineer, you will provide support for research, development, and integration of advanced communications/datalinks systems. 

• System development support will include acquisition documentation development, development of specifications, conduct independent technical analyses, evaluate system documentation, and test analysis.

• Responsible for analyzing manufacturers’ proposals as permitted by law and regulation.

• You will provide coordination of technical program status and execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test, and program execution process with the manufacturer(s). 

• You will generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed. You will work hand-in-hand with primary contract vendors to ensure requirements adherence and in turn, secure the confidence of the NAVAIR stakeholder in the fielded system.

• Finally, you will interface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. 

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Communications/Datalink Systems Engineering is required. 

• A current Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 6 years is required. 

• Knowledge of DoD systems engineering processes, acquisition and technical documentation, and specification development is required.

Preferred Experience

• Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environment

• Excellent written and verbal communications

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Project

• Professionalism and customer service

• Travel: 10-15% travel is required
