Responsibilities

SkyePoint Decisions is looking for a Business Development Associate to support business opportunities, perform market analysis, engage customers in meaningful discussions related to challenges and solutions, establish effective teaming solutions, and support proposal and solution development. As a key member of the SkyePoint Growth Team, this person will report into the Growth organization and will be directly involved in supporting new business growth targets. As an emerging small business, SkyePoint offers an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic professionals to contribute to corporate growth while expanding capabilities and skills.

 

This is a hybrid position requiring this person to work in the Dulles, VA office on Monday and Tuesdays, with additional days as needed.  

 

Responsibilities:

• Support full capture lifecycle from identification through proposal, including customer contacts and pulling together winning teams
• Support business planning activities, to include periodic pipeline reviews, bid development, opportunity gate reviews, and proposal reviews
• Manage responses to market research inquiries, attend industry events, represent SkyePoint at industry and Government conferences, and participate in customer meetings
• Participate in all business planning activities, scheduling and facilitating BD presentations, to include pipeline reviews, gate reviews, weekly and monthly BD reporting
• Work directly with Capture and program managers to refine our win strategy through technical solutions development, effective teaming, staffing and pricing strategies
• Interface with external customers throughout the capture process
• Interface with industry partners to improve Pwin on competitive opportunities
• Attend industry and customer events

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years’ experience in the business development area
• Experience attending customer meetings/events and extracting key themes and customer needs
• Demonstrated ability to establish relationships in the federal marketplace
• Ability to present SkyePoint Decisions technology and articulate the company's value proposition
• Experience in external marketing activities and social media
• Strong strategic, creative thinking, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
• Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Compensation:

Salary Range: 80,000 - 110,000

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package. 

Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for an incentive compensation bonus plan.
