Assists pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations and provides immunization support for the Health Center.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with accurate preparation, labeling, and dispensing of patient prescriptions including electronic claims processing and collecting payments from patients.
Assist with drug purchasing and inventory management; Includes monitoring inventory for expired medications and assisting with return of expired drug products. Replenishes stock when drug inventory is low. Assist with Quality Assurance monitoring programs including, but not limited to, temperature monitoring of pharmacy refrigerators and freezers, checking for expired medications, checking stock for recalled medications, and filling prescriptions.
Administer immunizations and document in EMR, scan documents into patient charts as needed. Assist with large scale immunization clinics. Review immunization compliance and communicate university immunization requirements to students.
Assist compliance officer with communications as needed.
Complete required ongoing training, participate in committee work, participate in departmental/divisional meetings and professional development activities.

- Must obtain medical assistant certification within 6 months of hire if currently not certified as a pharmacy technician.

$19.21 - $28.85 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
