The impact you will have in this role:
Cyber Security & Technology Risk Management (CS&TRM) is responsible for setting strategic direction in the areas of IT Risk and Information Security. Maintains corporate security policies and control standards, acts as a second line of defense via a robust collection of risk and control assessments, reports to leadership and the Board on the status of the IT Risk and Information Security Programs, acts as an operational arm for monitoring threat intelligence, understanding when threats are being targeted against the firm, and responding to potential incidents, and serves as the main interface for Regulatory and Client reviews that focus on IT Risk and Information Security.
Being a member of the CS&TRM team, the Risk Security Awareness Director will be responsible for providing programs and services to help develop a culture that includes security as a forethought of daily processes. Activities include development of educational e-learning courses, classroom or live virtual sessions, simulated phishing exercises, interactive functions, events and communications. Reports metrics as required by management. The team provides meaningful reports for firm leadership and offers guidance and assistance for areas showing a need for improvement.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a security awareness program that's effectively fosters the development of a "Security First" culture, promotes security behaviors, and encourages long term, sustainable change to adapt to the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape
- Create and implement a strategy for ongoing staff training that includes the onboarding of new hires and ongoing training for existing staff
- Lead a team of information security and cyber awareness professionals. Provide direction, set performance expectations, and support professional development
- Collaborate with leadership to define awareness program strategy ranging from the top human threats to DTCC to encourage that risk awareness and cyber judgement
- Establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships with collaborators and partners to understand enterprise-wide training objectives and initiatives
- Oversee and lead all aspects of the program including budget, e-learning development and administration, phishing simulations, in-person and virtual events and trainings
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting strategies to track the effectiveness of the program
- Collaborate with security teams to identify top human risks to DTCC and help define training and awareness mitigation strategies for those risks
- Ensure that DTCC's security training and awareness program meets all industry regulations, standards, compliance requirements and best practices
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
