Description
ProxsysRx is currently recruiting for a Specialty Pharmacy Operations Manager to add to our Corporate Office Team. The Specialty Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for implementing, directing, and maintaining specialty pharmacy operations for ProxsysRx managed or owned specialty pharmacies or specialty pharmacy activities within a ProxsysRx managed or owned retail pharmacy. This position will be responsible for ensuring operations meet accreditation requirements, follow established policies and procedures, provide exceptional patient care, and ensure pharmacy profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with regulatory, legal, accreditation and certification requirements and comply with all policies and procedures for the specialty pharmacy operations.
- Leads the specialty pharmacy implementation project and serves as specialty pharmacy project expert by reviewing project plans and collaborating with ProxsysRx’s Project Team.
- Ensures execution and maintenance of vendor contracts as required for specialty pharmacy operations.
- Identify, implement and manage high-quality, cost-effective specialty pharmacy delivery methods and programs to drive client clinical and financial growth and success.
- Establishes credible relationships with health system stakeholders and communicates effectively to address key milestones and navigate barriers for successful implementation and operations.
- Responsible for all matters related to the specialty program and clinic workflow with clinical staff and providers, addressing issues or inquiries promptly and with a high level of service, and maintaining consistent engagement between in-clinic and pharmacy services.
- Coordinates, monitors, and manages specialty pharmacy operational services ensuring safe and effective pharmacy services.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate best practices in specialty pharmacy operations.
- Implements workflow and productivity measures that will achieve performance targets and patient expectations.
- Assists in the development of a management reporting dashboard.
- Deliver reporting on program performance to internal stakeholders and clients via analytics dashboards and collation of information or data for ad-hoc reports.
- Ensures all necessary reporting is conducted and submitted for specialty pharmacy payor requirements.
- Supervises pharmacy staff involved in the specialty pharmacy operations workflow including interviewing, hiring, training, and implementation of dispensing and distribution of specialty medications.
- Delivers in-service training and education to staff members in a group setting.
- Implements and maintains onboarding and training for each member of the specialty pharmacy team.
- Oversees and/or conducts all steps necessary to contract with specialty pharmacy payors.
- Promotes positive work environment and fostering teamwork and partnership at all levels.
- Ensures annual review and update of financial budgets for specialty pharmacies as necessary.
- Ensures confidentiality of patient information and their records by implementing processes to safeguard PHI, including destruction of relevant documentation which contains patient information.
- Develops policies and procedures for specialty pharmacy partners in compliance with accrediting bodies’ standards.
- Supports each health system specialty pharmacy’s accreditation efforts and provides necessary guidance for processes for accreditation success.
- Assists specialty pharmacy partners in development of action plans for quality and process improvement to achieve successful compliance with accreditation standards.
- Required to travel approximately 50% of time.
- Provides daily supervision of specialty pharmacy operations teams in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipling; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelors of Science (BS Pharm) degree from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school required.
- Post-graduate training (PGY-1 and/or PGY-2 completion) desirable.
- Prior experience managing large teams is required.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in specialty pharmacy is required, along with two (2) years of releva
