Job Title: Product Owner – Payments Industry

Location: USA Remote

Fulltime Role

The Product Owner will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of payment solutions, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant transactions across multiple channels. This role requires strong domain expertise in payment ecosystems and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product features.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap for payment systems (cards, ACH, SWIFT, BNPL, real-time payments).
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog using Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align product features with business objectives.
• Drive development of payment processing, fraud prevention, and settlement features.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, ISO 20022, and other regulatory standards.
• Monitor product KPIs such as transaction success rates, latency, and fraud detection metrics.
• Act as the primary liaison between business teams and technology teams.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in BFSI or fintech domain, with at least 4 years as a Product Owner.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems (Visa, Mastercard, ACH, SWIFT).
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools (JIRA, Rally).
• Familiarity with API integrations, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
