Role Purpose

Provide on-shift technical support for manufacturing process focused on process stability and equipment reliability. Assist Manufacturing Team Leader with production system management and troubleshooting / understanding of process and equipment issues. Provides reports for technical issues and partners with operations, engineering and maintenance on troubleshooting and escalation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-shift technical leadership and trains others to technical and operational aspects of the equipment. 1st level subject matter expert. 
• Production Stability and Performance 
  • Responsible for performance on production lines and working with technicians and operators to preserve stable, high yield performance.
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues, ranging from known maintenance needs to new, low frequency failures.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with focus on meeting production targets
• Interpret engineering schematics and procedures 
• Support job changes and production runs 
• Support engineer-led process improvement activities from focused improvement portfolios.
• Identify areas of improvement or ideas for continuous improvement projects and implements with help from cross functional teams as needed
• Adjust process parameters within established limits to ensure process stability
• Proactively maintains line performance through process tuning and equipment repair/maintenance, as well as support engineer-led activities such as experiments and engineering studies 
• Aid in creation and documentation of preventative / predictive maintenance policies and procedures 
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections, calibrations and process checks 
• Support production reports for shift turnover, data reviews, etc.
• Carries out work in a safe manner, wears appropriate PPE and gowning for assigned manufacturing space.
• Must be willing to support 24/7 manufacturing site and works on 12-hour shift (able to support all shifts as needed) in terms of mechanical troubleshooting and disciplined problem solving. 

Basic Requirements

• Two (2)-year degree in Engineering Technology or related degree AND 3+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing support
• 10+ years technical manufacturing support experience with proven leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of education
