About the role
Belgium has been identified as the key area of growth for the BeNeLux region. Today our Direct Physical and Beauty footprint is limited but offers great potential.
The purpose of this role is to concentrate on comprehensively developing new business within the market. Initially, this position will report to the Head of Key Account Management, with the potential to report to the Head of Retail and Sales in the future, depending on growth and scope
The core of this role will be to identify new business opportunities for our Direct Retail, Beauty Retail and within Electrical Retail and to work alongside each stream from identification to implementation. Additionally, the role requires acting as the central point of contact for all Belgium-based initiatives, including events, public relations, collaborations, and local partnerships.
Accountabilities:
Identify and drive new business in Belgium
Owning the strategy development for new business in Belgium
Drive Dyson's presence and sales in the beauty retail sector across Belgium for Direct and Indirect business streams
Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand Dyson's market share in the beauty retail industry
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and strategic partners.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product strategies with market demands.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure advantageous partnerships for Dyson.
Conduct regular market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential challenges.
Provide insights and feedback to internal teams for continuous product and strategy improvement.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to overall business growth and profitability. Proven experience in business development within the beauty retail sector. - Strong understanding of the Belgian beauty retail market and industry dynamics. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers. - Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making. - Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. - Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic business environment. Deliver sales and profitability targets:
Deliver sales and gross margin targets in line with budget for new business
Deliver an accurate twelve-month rolling forecast that accounts for sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits for new business
Agree, update, communicate and administer all areas of the promotional planning cycle
Manage a promotional budget in line with forecasts and retail activity plan
Manage costs & investment to maximize profitability across account portfolio
Influence internal and external stakeholders with impact to deliver results:
Establish and maintain effective ways of working & communicating with Indir
