JOB SUMMARY:
The Metrex Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for all duties and objectives of the Strategic Account Manager (SAM). The SAM will be held accountable for achieving business objectives such as the conversion of competitive business, increased portfolio penetration, and forecast attainment goals by all Healthcare Compliance guidelines. A successful SAM will penetrate small to large IDNs at the corporate level either by expanding the footprint or taking share from the competition. Understanding the clinical, economic, and quadruple aim strategy of each IDN is critical to learn. The SAM will also develop a business plan with strategically targeted accounts that reflect the in-depth understanding of local market/account dynamics.
The SAM is expected to collaborate internally and externally with all stakeholders including executives in senior leadership positions, sales management, marketing, product management, national accounts team, and sales operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for achieving sales growth within territory.
- Create, build, and maintain appropriate relationships with key decision-makers, administrators with all IDN’s in territory.
- Cultivate relationships with 3rd party sales team who sell Metrex products.
- Be both clinical and product expert for end users along with the internal teams you collaborate with to include the 3rd party sales team.
- Collaborate with the National Accounts team on top IDN targets.
- Develop a business plan which guides your overall strategy for the territory. To include 3-4 key strategies, top 10 account list, and priorities/needs. Update throughout the year as territory dynamics change.
- Responsible for business plan reviews to Metrex sales leadership to include once a month business review with your direct sales manager.
- Retain current Metrex business in installed base accounts.
- Expand the product footprint is currently installed base accounts.
- Take market share within health systems where Metrex has no footprint.
- Daily utilization of CRM (maintain a BX score of at least a B).
- Generate a pipeline of growth accounts and maintain them in CRM.
- Establish a relationship with key decision-makers such as Infection Prevention Directors, Materials Management, Supply Chain, and Value Analysis in all target accounts
- Delivering multiple presentations in a month either in person or virtually. Presentations shall include product specs, marketing information, promotional product information, introduction, and explanation, discussion of application specs and include the use of company-provided slides, video, computer, and/or other presentation material.
- Have an understanding of the entire ordering process of each customer on your target list.
- Prepare formal written quotes and/or proposals to present to customers, by company policy regarding pricing, terms, and level of account activity.
- Provide in-services within the hospital setting.
- Support ongoing product training and assist in retraining customer base in proper procedures to use with Metrex products.
- Complete all assigned training for products.
- Competency in budgeting and forecasting by account and product for the territory.
