About the Role:

The Group Director, Record to Report, will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting operations within Walmart. This includes ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements across the accounting functions. This leader will work closely with various business areas to understand and address process challenges, ensuring that accounting operations support the overall business objectives.

What you'll do:

• Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

• Provide input and information in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.

• Collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to identify and address accounting issues and process improvements.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Provide support and leadership for initiatives to automate and streamline accounting processes, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for accounting operations, aligning with the overall goals of the finance organization.
