Software Engineer

<p>We are looking for a <b>Software Engineer</b> to join our Life Sciences team in Barcelona. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a growing product in the Pharma Regulatory space. The team consists of 7 software and QA engineers. <span>The Software Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team to develop and deliver high-quality software in an agile environment. We are looking for an engineer to contribute to development efforts on the back-end side of our application.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments </b></p><ul><li><p><span>1+ years industry experience in backend software development.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with NodeJS and Typescript for backend services.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with OpenSearch or other similar search engines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Good knowledge and understanding of Version Control tools (preferably Git)</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>It would be great if you also had . . . </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Experience of working within an Agile delivery environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience developing and designing backend services and REST APIs </span></p></li><li><p>Experience running services in docker</p></li><li><p>Experience using Jenkins</p></li><li><p>Knowledge about AWS cloud infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Experience with Python and Django framework</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>What will you be doing in this role?</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Work as a backend software engineer in a cross-functional team.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Write quality, well-tested, documented code.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Adhere to development best practices and standards as set within the team.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Help support existing systems, diagnosing issues, and identifying bugs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work closely with QA, DevOps, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Project Management.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Product you will be developing</b></p><p>You will be working building the backend services that serve data to our Angular frontend, in a microservices architecture in a variety of languages (Typescript for the main services, but we also have services built in Kotlin or Java) integrated in corporate platform. The microservices are using Opensearch as data source.</p><p></p><p>Our solution provides to customers information about CMC Intelligence. CMC is the specific regulation for drug manufacturing that the Pharma companies need to follow to launch a drug to market or keep the approval when changes in the development process are made. We provide the information about the processes to follow in a huge variety of markets around the world.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>About the Team  </b></p><p>The development team based in Barcelona consists of 5 Software Engineers and 2 QA Engineers, plus the Engineering Manager. You will be working closely with the Solution Analyst and Product Owner helping to shape the scope and the refinements as part of the Agile processes and ceremonies, which are coordinated by the Delivery Manager</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Hours of Work </b></p><p>Full time employee, 40 hour per week.
