Description
Synergy Mental Health and Wellness Integrated seeks an enthusiastic, high-energy, motivated Therapist to join our team at our newest practice in Rockwall, Texas.
Synergy is a high-end mental health clinic with office locations in Rockwall, Texas, and Glendale, Scottsdale, and Tempe, Arizona. We provide psychiatry and psychotherapy services both face-to-face and via telehealth in our clinics, and we also serve patients in multiple other organizations, rehabilitation centers, and detox facilities. Responsibilities
1. Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' symptoms, behaviors, and underlying psychological factors.
- Collaborate with clients to establish a diagnosis and formulate an individualized treatment plan.
2. Individualized Treatment Planning:
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances.
- Incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or family-based therapy.
3. Individual and Group Therapy:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients to address underlying issues, promote behavioral change, and enhance coping skills.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to create a supportive environment for clients to share experiences, receive feedback, and build community.
4. Collaborative Approach:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Communicate and coordinate treatment plans with other mental and physical healthcare providers involved in the client's care.
5. Monitoring and Progress Evaluation:
- Regularly monitor and evaluate clients' progress towards treatment goals.
- Adjust treatment plans as needed and support clients during their recovery journey.
6. Crisis Intervention:
- Address and manage crises or emergencies related to mental health disorders, ensuring client safety and appropriate intervention.
7. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality and documentation.
8. Continuing Education:
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of mental health.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
- Education: A master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Licensing: Must be licensed as a mental health professional in TX (Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, etc.).
- Experience: Previous experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations is also important.
- Empathy and Compassion: Given the nature of the work, a high level of empathy, and compassion is crucial to connect with clients and provide effective therapeutic support.
