Raytheon - Advance Products and Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) to oversee a program area within the Radio Frequency (RF) Solutions (SSBU).
The Senior Program Manager will finish development efforts, lead the transition to production with the associated capital projects, and manage the facilities for a high profile portfolio. You will be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of existing IRAD efforts, new business investment, and programs.
What You Will Do
- Account for profit and loss, AOP development and implementation
- Monitor, interact and course correct technical teams to support customer goals
- Implement and execute Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to include meeting Estimate at Completions (EAC) requirements
- Establish and execute baseline schedule, negotiating and executing change requirements
- Drive a cross-functional team with focus on Design and Development, Operations and Production
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
- Ensure implementation of a robust Risk & Opportunity Management plan, including proactive schedule risk management, to ensure predictable program performance
- Travel, as needed, to support business engagements
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience in program management or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
- Program Management, systems engineering, or business management experience.
- Experience supporting development programs for embedded systems and/or advanced materials/components
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required with the ability to obtain program access after start
Qualifications We Prefer
- Program Management Level 4 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Program management experience in all program lifecycle phases, including development, production and sustainment; ability to engage senior level customers as well as industry partners
- Understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radio Frequency (RF) principles, systems development, and application of applicable technologies in operations
- Track record successfully leading Independent Research & Development (IR&D), New Business Initiatives (NBI), and/or customer funded program/projects
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence the cross-functional production team, functional leaders, domestic and global supply chain, and internal program leaders to secure the resources necessary execute a profitable production program
