Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site Patrol - Full Time in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage production location, you will play an important role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to any situations that may arise. You will also be responsible for monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service to everyone you encounter. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe individuals entering and exiting the location, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation procedures and supporting first responders if required.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a point of contact for employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
